This is Kastan number six. This is a 1989 Kastan 24" Junior Cruiser. I picked this up off of Craig's List from Yuma,
Arizona. I drove 3 hours one way to pick this up in person. Parts are as follows---- Kastan 24" Junior Cruiser frame,
Kastan Junior Strut with hub, DK Mini Stem, Redline Mini Forklifter bars, Elina seat, 24" Araya 1 1/8" rims, Sunshine
rear hub, Cooks Brothers cranks, PPP Chain ring, and an off brand set of pedals. I took the Kastan front hub, the Sunshine
rear hub and the PPP chain ring and had them anodized red to match each other for this build. The last picture is the way
it looked when I first picked it up. Notice the cranks are the same as well. I refinished them and kept them with this bike.

This is my 1994 Kastan Squareback. I picked this frame up from Ebay about a year ago and have finally put it together. Parts
include Kastan Pro frame, Kastan Forks, Kastan Bars, old script DK 1 1/8" stem, Odyssey seat, ROD Prim seat post, NOS
PMC seat post clamp, Sun Rhyno Lite rims, Tektro brakes, NOS PMC high flange hubs, NOS PMC 181mm Cranks with NOS bearingless
bottom bracket, and NOS Flite pads. I picked up a set of NOS Kastan 1" - 1 1/8" combo headset type fork that I will
be adding to this bike a bit later. Very cool set of forks with a 1" bearing on top and a 1 1/8" bearing on bottom
and will fit a 1" quill stem.
This is my 1991 Kastan "Proline". Again another frame I picked up on Ebay. I build this with the following parts----
Kastan "Proline" frame, Kastan Pro Strut with hub, Kastan bars, DK Pro stem, NOS Araya rims, GT Mohawk rear hub,
NOS VDC fluted seat post, Dominator seat, Redline single pinch Flight cranks, Pitbull brakes and Flite pads. This frame has
acquired the name "Proline" which it was never named this. I guess through the years it was called this and it stuck.
There really is no model name for this frame other than maybe Pro for its size. I was informed by a friend that these bikes
were sold through the catalog as "Prolines", so I retrect my last comments.
Finished this build the other night. I traded for this frame to a friend in Tucson, AZ. When I picked it up it was in very
good shape as a survivor. I was bummed that it didn't have a strut, but I had one for it ready to install after powder coat.
Parts include---1989 Kastan 24" Pro-S Frame, Kastan 24" Pro Strut W/Hub, Kastan Power Disk, Sun Rims, Redline Bars,
DK Pro Stem, Redline Single Pinch Flights, Redline Techmatic BB, Suntour Bear Trap Pedals, PMC Rear Hub (I know it is not
era correct), Dominator Seat, and Flite Pads.
